This year, our goal is $20,000! If each student raises a minimum of $100 in donations, the goal is achievable! The key to success is to ask! A sponsor can be anyone such as yourself, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, godparents, family friends, co-workers who would be more than happy to reward your children's efforts in participating in the walk as well as providing a small contribution toward their education.

Have your kids wear their favorite team’s gear such as a jersey, shirt, hoodie, hat, or even their own jersey from a sport they play.
9:30 - 9:55 AM: Rooms 11, 14, 6 & 8
10:20 - 10:45 AM: Rooms 1, 7 & 9

Students who raise at least $100 will be entered into a drawing for a chance win 1 of 5 Polly Ann Ice Cream certificates.
The top 3 students who raise the most money will be recognized during morning intake with a medal. Each will also have an opportunity (on a designated day) to have lunch with a friend in our school garden.
The classroom that raises the most money will receive a trophy during intake. The class’ picture will be displayed in the Walk-A-Thon Hall of Fame Wall in the main hallway.
How to Obtain Pledges
Pledgestar is an online web system that makes it easy for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations. People who use this system typically raise twice as much money.
The system allows you to email and/or text pledge requests to family and friends, as well as providing you a link to share on social media. You are notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.
We highly encourage you to take advantage of social media. Share the pledge request on Facebook, and/or text the link on WhatsApp or WeChat.
Please follow the steps below to register and start collecting donations as soon as possible. It takes less than 5 minutes to get started:
1. Go to https://pledgestar.com/stevenson
2. Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
3. Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
4. Follow the instructions on-screen to register students
We are also including a pledge sheet for students to request in-person contributions via cash or check.
Fill out the pledge sheet with the name of the sponsor (ie, “Auntie Mary”) and the donated amount.
Please return the pledge sheet with one check made out to “RLS PTA” with the full amount collected. Please include your child’s name, teacher’s name and room number in the memo section of the check as well on the pledge form.
Please return all pledge sheets and checks by sending them with your child to school or dropping off in the office, by March 22, 2019
