We are kicking off our largest fundraising event of the year — The Annual Giving Campaign (AGC). Funds raised by the AGC will pay for staffing and programs that are not supported by the school budget. These contributions will help with programs needed to achieve the best education and social environment for our children. It plays a direct role in enhancing our children's education and childhood experience.

Every dollar of your generous donation goes directly into your children's classrooms, teachers, and school. Our children will be able to gain skills that will help them achieve excellent test scores. The skills learned will prepare them to be socially and emotionally responsible children inside and outside of school. Your contributions will help set RLS apart from most public schools in San Francisco. Now is the time to invest in our children's future, so consider donating to the AGC.

To meet the funding goals for this school year, we suggest an annual contribution of:

  • $350 per child

  • $600 for two or more children

The RLS PTA funds the following items:

FOR EACH CLASSROOM:

  • Scholastic News Publications — Literature that supports your children's math, science, reading and many more lessons in class.

  • Field Trip Stipends — Gives your children opportunities to learn and explore outside of the classroom. Trips such as the Exploratorium, SFMOMA, Academy of Science, Lemos Farm and Elkus Ranch.

  • Classroom Supply Stipends — Teachers will be able to purchase materials needed for lessons and projects.

  • Stipends for Special Program Teachers

SCHOOL WIDE PROGRAMS:

  • STEAM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) — Hands on experience with our ecosystem and bionetworks, additional computers, introduction to programing/coding, drama, etc.

  • Performing Arts Consultants

  • Support of our Technology Classroom — (NEW this year)

  • Park and Rec coaches (NEW this year) — For 3 hours each school day, two specialized Park and Rec coaches will teach, support, and create a safe and inclusive playground for ALL students.

  • Soul Shoppe (New this year) - Social Emotional Learning Workshops for students, staff, and parents.

    SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND OTHER ITEMS

  • ·Family Engagement Events — such as Halloween Fun, Lunar New Year celebration, and Family Fun Day BBQ.

  • Puberty/Adolescence Education

  • Risograph Copier Maintenance Contract — high volume copier that produces all the paperwork for classroom materials, including classwork and homework

  • And many more programs that help our children

    We will kick off the AGC on September 15, 2018, ending on Dec. 31, 2018.

    ·       1-100 donors who donate the minimum suggested amount will a receive prize

    ·       Top 3 classrooms with the highest donation will receive a Pizza Party!

    ·       Top 3 classrooms with the most donation participation will receive an ice Cream Party!

    * Winners will be announced in January 2019.

By Check:

Write a check with your donation amount payable to "Robert Louis Stevenson PTA". Either give the check to your child's teacher or drop it off at the main office along with the form that went out with the Dolphin folder.
